Gradings for Original Chapel Parket floors - the highest quality floorboards and parquets made of natural wood

Wood is a raw material obtained from felled trees and processed into various types of products. It occupies the space between the core and the layers of bast and bark. Wood, as a 100% natural product, possesses a number of inherent characteristics. These characteristics are an integral part of wood as a material and should not be confused with product defects. Just as no two trees in a forest are identical, no two floorboards can be produced identically. Differences in grain, color, and disproportionate mineralization are natural phenomena that only confirm the naturalness and environmental friendliness of wood.

Oak floors

The oak wood we use to produce our floors comes 100% from European commercial (production) forests. We use it because of its higher quality compared to other oak species grown outside of Europe.

Chapel Parket wood floors are available in several wood grades:  Premier, Rustic A, and Rustic A/B. They are available in both smooth material and wood with visible knots filled with natural filler. Choosing the right wood grade for your parquet flooring is crucial to the final result. Wood grade should not be confused with wood quality. Your taste and design concept are key here. If you want a floor that isn't rustic and has a subdued character, choose the Premier grade. If you're looking for a strong, rustic, and distinctive look, the Rustic A/B grade is a good choice. Rustic A grade, on the other hand, is a solution for those seeking a natural and elegant wood floor. This is an intermediate choice between the Premier and Rustic A/B gradings.

Wood is a unique, original, and natural material. Treated, it reveals its beauty. Oak wood, thanks to its constituents, such as tannic acid, lignin, and tannin, is susceptible to color-changing effects. Various treatments, such as ammonia, high temperature, and alkaline substances, can alter the wood's color.
